Why the street photography? Maybe the reason is, I have never gone to kindergarten. I have always had a good time on courtyards. The world watching from the street point of view seems more colorful and more complex than, that watching through windows in schools, offices, fabrics and flats. Maybe the reason is, that we can find on streets a piece of true life. I like to be there and look on people and places, which are full of shadows, lights and movements. I like to be a part of this performance of vanishing all items and rules. Maybe the reason is, there were druh, zenith, canon, Nikon d70… and there is d90 now.We can meet on streets thousands of faces full of existential sighs. We can touch there the wind of freedom, smell the exhaust and sometimes burned hot dogs. There are always streets without crowd – streets, where a lost shape of man will appear - from time to time - in urban space. Maybe the reason is, the streets are best place to observe rebellious masses or meet face to face with a rebel man. The modern cities are best theater for one spectator … the one with a camera. Why the street photography? Maybe the reason is, there are books of Jose Ortega y Gasset and Albert Camus, songs of Tom Waits and … there are burgers from McDonalds. Maybe the reason is, the rebellious masses are created by people who reject elites in the name of pop cultures icons. Maybe the reason is, a rebel man is the man, who can say: no!Maybe the reason is, we can almost always buy Big Mac on the streets.Maybe the reason is, the cameraman can live in the world of illusion… he is not a part of this poor performance…he is only space and time photographer.
